France Chamber of Commerce visits the Cubatao Industrial Estate

The Center for Integration and Development (Cide) and the City of Cubatão received a delegation of representatives of companies associated with the France Chamber of Commerce in Brazil, led by the executive director Sueli Lartigue (Cide / Ciesp Cubatão) , to meet the Industrial Pole of the city and the program Cubatão – The Factory of Opportunities. The meeting was moderated by executive manager Valmir Ramos Ruiz and also counted on the participation of the Secretaries of Finance and Employment and Sustainable Development, Genaldo Antônio dos Santos and Marcos Espírito Santo, as well as the director of the Revenue Department, Luiz Alberto Maia da Silva.

The main objective of the visit was to present the program Cubatão – The Opportunity Factory, which aims to disseminate the main advantages for manufacturing industries in the city: quality raw materials by large companies; strategic support of Cide / Ciesp Cubatão; abundant mesh of energy and water; full logistics knit; universities and technical schools geared to industry; proximity to the port of Santos and the capital of São Paulo; environmental recovery investments; among others.

Visitors also had the opportunity to meet the Industrial Pole of the municipality and main steel production facilities of Usiminas.

Valmir Ruiz highlighted all the potential that Cubatão has and the synergy with the city as the main attractions for new industries. “As the largest industrial hub in Latin America, Cubatão has the ideal structure to receive manufacturing industries. With the support of the City Hall, we can encourage the sector. This attracts more companies, creates more jobs and strengthens trade. ” Valmir also highlighted recent achievements of the municipality through the integration of industry and public power, such as the reopening of Cubatão Hospital, administered by the São Francisco Xavier Foundation, Usiminas, and the Faculty of Medicine – São Judas Tadeu University.

“The Chamber has existed for 119 years and we are the first bilateral, with headquarters in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais and Paraná. We hold these events to show opportunities in every region we visit, “said CCIFB Executive Director Sueli Lartigue.

The local workforce was also emphasized during the meeting. “Cubatão has a skilled workforce, constantly improving,” declared Espírito Santo. “Cubatão is close to universities and technical schools that train professionals to work in the industry,” Ruiz said.

The finance secretary reinforced the partnership. “We have a tax incentive project to attract the sector and we are ready to meet,” he said, noting that the arrival of new companies also benefits the local population and commerce.

In recent months, the Opportunity Factory program was taken by Cide to the world’s leading chambers of commerce in Brazil, such as France, China, Spain, Japan, Russia, among others.
