Polo lança a campanha “Balão aqui não!”

O Cide e o Ciesp Cubatão iniciaram uma campanha de conscientização para alertar a população do município e Baixada Santista sobre os sérios riscos que envolvem a prática de soltar balões. Considerada crime ambiental, tal conduta é passível de detenção de um a três anos ou multa, ou ambas as penas cumulativamente. A mesma penalidade vale para quem fabrica, vende ou transporta balões.

A ação envolve a elaboração de um informativo desenvolvido especialmente para o tema, que será utilizado em rodas de conversa com profissionais que trabalham nas indústrias e entre os moradores dos bairros da cidade, com apoio dos líderes comunitários que participam do Conselho Comunitário Consultivo do Polo Industrial de Cubatão. O material também está sendo divulgado nos canais digitais das entidades e na imprensa local.

Por mais que a prática pareça simples e inofensiva, a região da Baixada Santista registrou nos últimos meses, grande número de queda de balões. Somente no Polo, foram três de grande porte, sendo que um caiu aceso e outros dois apagados. Em todos os casos, graças à rápida ação das brigadas de incêndio das empresas, foram evitados acidentes mais graves e de grandes proporções.

Além do perigo de ocasionar uma explosão em alguma indústria, a queda de qualquer balão também pode causar incêndios de grandes proporções nas comunidades próximas, pois muitas das casas são feitas em madeira, material de rápida combustão. Outra preocupação, com especial risco para esta época de clima seco e falta de chuvas, é a rápida propagação das chamas em áreas ambientais da Serra do Mar que, geralmente, são de difícil acesso aos bombeiros.

A maioria dos balões são soltos no período da noite e caem pela manhã, devido à mudança da temperatura atmosférica. Há probabilidade de muitos deles serem providos da Grande ABC e capital de São Paulo, devido à quantidade de ocorrências também registradas na região.

A campanha conta com o envolvimento de demais autoridades, como Corpo de Bombeiros, Defesas Civis regional e estadual e Casa Militar. Nos últimos meses, foram realizadas reuniões com os órgãos com o intuito de se buscar novas soluções a estas práticas ilegais e intensificação nas medidas restritivas, além de mobilizar outros municípios para atuarem na causa.

“Para o Ciesp Cubatão, representante das indústrias, é gratificante ver a conscientização local, e como sempre poder contar com o apoio dos órgãos pertinentes nesta campanha. A parceria com as outras regionais da entidade, como Diadema, São Bernardo do Campo, Santo André, serão essencial para identificarmos os perigos e minimizarmos os impactos por meio da integração. Também estamos alinhados com a Fiesp e Ciesp, com o apoio do presidente Paulo Skaf, para nos auxiliarem na articulação junto ao Governo do Estado por mais soluções para esta demanda”, afirma Raul Elias Pinto, diretor titular do Ciesp Cubatão.

“As indústrias, assim como o Corpo de Bombeiros e Defesa Civil, estão em alerta sobre os riscos provocados por quedas de balões no Polo e permanecem preparadas para atuarem prontamente em possíveis ocorrências. Todos os esforços de prevenção e contenção foram traduzidos nesta campanha para promover a conscientização de forma simples e instrutiva. Compartilhar estas medidas, com o apoio das lideranças comunitárias, é mais um trabalho a favor do bem coletivo em nossa cidade e região”, explica Ricardo Salgado e Silva, diretor executivo do Cide.

E vale o alerta: qualquer pessoa que veja alguém soltando balões ou o objeto no ar deve fazer a denúncia por meio dos seguintes números: 190 – Polícia Militar; 193 – Corpo de Bombeiros; ou 199 – Defesa Civil. É garantido o anonimato para o autor da denúncia. A participação da sociedade é fundamental para coibir essa prática que há décadas causa riscos à população e às empresas.

 

 

Programa Atuação Responsável® é tema de reunião do CCC do Polo

A reunião mensal do Conselho Comunitário Consultivo do Polo Industrial de Cubatão, realizada no último dia 22, teve como tema principal o Programa Atuação Responsável®, promovido pela Associação Brasileira da Indústria Química (Abiquim). O encontro contou com a participação do gerente de Gestão Empresarial da instituição, Luiz Shizuo Harayashiki, que ministrou uma palestra sobre a iniciativa.

O programa, em exercício há aproximadamente 30 anos no Brasil e presente em mais de 60 países, possui o principal objetivo de demonstrar o compromisso voluntário da indústria química na melhoria continua de segmentos como Saúde, Segurança e Meio Ambiente. Como principais resultados, obtém-se a redução de riscos de acidentes, diminuição dos impactos ambientais, uso de produtos mais seguros, entre outros.

O programa foi apresentado aos membros do CCC por videoconferência

Entre as premissas do Programa de Atuação Responsável®, se encontra a promoção do relacionamento aberto entre indústrias e sociedade. Através da comissão de Diálogo com a Comunidade da Abiquim, representantes das empresas tratam de assuntos referentes à comunicação com as comunidades circunvizinhas de suas unidades, baseando-se nas diretrizes do programa.

O Conselho Comunitário Consultivo do Polo Industrial, anteriormente conhecido como Painel Comunitário, passou por uma reestruturação e teve sua forma de atuação aprimorada com a criação do seu novo regimento interno, baseado nas diretrizes do programa. Desde então, representantes do CCC passaram a participar de eventos como o Encontro Nacional dos CCCs e o Congresso de Atuação Responsável®, realizados pela Abiquim.

Luiz Shizuo destaca a disseminação dos conceitos básicos do Programa Atuação Responsável® como pilares importantes para as atividades socioambientais do CCCs. “Podemos traduzir o programa como uma postura proativa, transparente e voltada ao diálogo com as partes interessadas na indústria, com uma proposta de responsabilidade que transcende o atendimento legal. Sua continuidade representa o compromisso com a sustentabilidade do setor químico brasileiro, e este é o trabalho que realizamos com nossas comunidades do entorno das plantas”.

A importância da Indústria Química

Na ocasião, também foi explicado sobre a importância da química para o processo do desenvolvimento humano e como está presente no dia a dia das pessoas, seja em setores como os de alimentos, saneamento, construções e medicações.

O Brasil está em 6º lugar no ranking de maiores indústrias químicas do mundo, com um faturamento de 118,7 bilhões de dólares, só no último ano, segundo a Abiquim. Atualmente, contribui com a geração de dois milhões de empregos no País e com 2,4% para o PIB nacional.

Vila Esperança and Vila Natal receive disinfection on the main avenue

The main avenue of access to the neighborhoods Vila Esperança and Vila Natal received a disinfection action on the morning of last Saturday (4), in order to help prevent the spread of the new coronavirus (covid-19) by the residents.

The avenue, about 3 km long, holds the largest circulation of people from these communities and concentrates a large part of the businesses, in addition to serving as a space for holding free fairs.

Promoted by Cide, with the support of the Department of Maintenance and Public Services, the activity provided around 8 thousand liters of diluted sodium hypochlorite for cleaning the place, which were donated by Unipar and applied by Cesari, by means of a water truck. This product, when mixed with water, becomes bleach, which has effective agents for disinfecting surfaces that may contain the virus.

The Vila Esperança and Vila Natal communities are among those with the most people infected by the virus in Cubatão, according to data issued by the City Hall. The agency also considers Vila Esperança as one of the most populous neighborhoods in the city.

The disinfections, carried out by the City Hall and partnerships, have been in the city since March this year, a period in which the spread of covid-19 in the region began. The initiative has already covered other neighborhoods, such as Centro, Costa e Silva, Vila São José, Casqueiro, Caminho 2, Vila dos Pescadores and Bolsões 7, 8 and 9.

 

Vila Esperança e Vila Natal recebem desinfecção em avenida principal

A principal avenida de acesso aos bairros Vila Esperança e Vila Natal recebeu uma ação de desinfecção na manhã do último sábado (4), a fim auxiliar na prevenção de contágio do novo coronavírus (covid-19) pelos moradores.

A avenida, com cerca de 3 km de extensão, detém a maior circulação de pessoas destas comunidades e concentra grande parte dos comércios, além de servir de espaço para a realização de feiras livres.

Promovida pelo Cide, com apoio da Secretaria de Manutenção e Serviços Públicos, a atividade forneceu cerca de 8 mil litros de hipoclorito de sódio diluídos para limpeza do local, que foram doados pela Unipar e aplicados pela Cesari, por meio de um caminhão-pipa. Este produto, quando misturado com água, se torna água sanitária, que possui agentes eficazes para a desinfecção de superfícies que possam conter o vírus.

Cerca de 8 mil litros de água sanitária foram aplicados por toda avenida

As comunidades Vila Esperança e Vila Natal estão entre as que mais apresentaram pessoas infectadas pelo vírus em Cubatão, segundo dados emitidos pela Prefeitura. O órgão também considera a Vila Esperança como um dos bairros mais populosos da cidade.

As desinfecções, realizadas pela Prefeitura e parcerias, ocorrem na cidade desde março deste ano, período em que se teve início a disseminação do covid-19 na região. A iniciativa já percorreu outros bairros, como Centro, Costa e Silva, Vila São José, Casqueiro, Caminho 2, Vila dos Pescadores e Bolsões 7, 8 e 9.

Basic food baskets are donated to low-income families in Cubatão

The last 26th day was marked by yet another solidarity action in Cubatão. About 2,880 basic food baskets and hygiene kits were donated to the Municipal Secretariat of Social Assistance to help needy families, affected by the economic and health impacts caused by the spread of the new coronavirus.

Carried out by Cide, with support from Petrobras and Ciesp Cubatão, the initiative aims to meet the Social Action Project to Confront Covid-19, created by the Municipal Secretariat and its Social Fund.

The action aims to assist in food security for people who are socially vulnerable and are being affected by the isolation measures established in the municipality.

The baskets donated by Petrobras will be distributed to thousands of low-income families in Cubatão, listed by CadÚnico – a program of the Federal Government and administered by the City Hall.

Daniel Violatti, Maintenance Manager at Petrobras, who at the time of delivery represented the Presidente Bernardes Refinery, highlighted that the company has acted in a proactive manner, establishing effective actions to combat the new coronavirus. “As for prevention, it is worth mentioning our internal actions to keep our employees in the maximum possible operational safety condition, which required an intense change of routine and adaptations to our production and management process. But the company’s effort also reaches the community in very concrete demands, which is the case with the donation of these almost three thousand basic baskets. It is a social responsibility initiative that aims to minimize the effects that the pandemic has generated on the lives of all of us, and in this case, we seek to directly serve the community of Cubatão, through a partnership with the City Hall, Cide and Ciesp Cubatão”.

The mayor Ademário Oliveira thanked the action and highlighted the positive reaction of industries in the municipality during the crisis. “This donation of almost three thousand baskets came at a very important moment to guarantee food security for those who need it most. A robust basket, which also includes kits for cleaning. Cubatão has the privilege of having one of the largest industrial centers in the country and local companies have helped us to reduce the impacts caused by the pandemic”.

“From the beginning, the industries have acted with readiness to assist in the fight against the new coronavirus. In addition to donations, the actions are also focused on disinfecting public roads and preventive measures at the Hub to ensure workers. It has been an integrated work, so that together we can go through this atypical scenario that we are facing ”, adds Ricardo Salgado, executive director of Cide.

National research to combat the new coronavirus

Petrobras has an extensive agenda for confronting and controlling the pandemic in the country. Among other initiatives, it made available the work of scientists and the supercomputers of its Research Center (Cenpes) for the international research of generation and analysis of data on the behavior of the new coronavirus.

Atlas and Fênix, as the equipment is called, are among the 500 largest supercomputers in the world and have the processing capacity equivalent to about 1.5 million smartphones or 40,000 next generation laptops.

Donation of PPE

Recently, Cide donated more than 50 thousand personal protective equipment (PPE) to the Municipal Health Department of Cubatão, with the participation of industries. 24 thousand respiratory protection masks and 30 thousand disposable gloves were offered to help health professionals working on the front lines in hospitals and sanitary inspections in the pandemic.

Public calamity

In March, the State Government and the City Hall of Cubatão decreed a public calamity due to the intensification of the spread of the virus in Brazil. In view of this scenario, the municipalities of Baixada Santista, through Condesb – Development Council of the Metropolitan Region of Baixada Santista, put into practice the main restrictive measures for access to non-essential service establishments.

According to the OMS (Organização Mundial da Saúde) – World Health Organization, this is the most effective procedure for delaying the spread of the virus, until a vaccine is established for the cure.

 

Prevention measures for the new coronavirus at the Polo

The industries are adopting preventive measures against the new coronavirus (Covid-19) in the Industrial Hub of Cubatão and in the municipality, thus allowing a safe operational continuity.

Health professionals are focused on actions to monitor and prevent contamination among company employees. In this way, it will help the emergency service points in the city to avoid crowding and minimize viral transmission by the accumulation of people.

All measures are being taken based on the general guidelines of the Ministry of Health and the Health Secretariat of the Government of the State of São Paulo.

Interview with TV Tribuna about the role of industries in the pandemic

The directors of Cide and Ciesp Cubatão, Ricardo Salgado and Raul Elias Pinto, participated in an interview for Jornal da Tribuna – 1st Edition, of the regional broadcaster TV Tribuna, last Monday (20).

The representatives of the institutions talked about the details of all the preventive measures that the Cubatão Pole is adopting in the face of the new coronavirus pandemic. Watch:

Ricardo highlighted the integration of industries and the main measures adopted at the Pole, such as the intensification of hygiene in common areas at work stations, for the minimum number of workers who are not in the home office regime, and the increase in the transport fleets of employees to allow the distance between people on the routes.

Regarding the post-pandemic scenario, the executive director informed that all companies are adopting the appropriate measures to minimize the current and future impacts, with the essential objective of avoiding layoffs.

Ricardo also mentioned the donations of individual protection equipment (PPE) made by Condomínio Industrial and destined to the Cubatão Health Department, in addition to the disinfection of public roads carried out by companies in the condominium.

 

Winter Operation at Industrial Pole Begins

 

Activities will continue until the end of September this year

In its 25th edition, Operation Winter began on May 1st at the Industrial Hub of Cubatão. The opening of activities, normally held at the facilities of Cide and Ciesp Cubatão, took place on April 28, through videoconference, between representatives of the industries and Cetesb’s regional manager in the municipality, Marcos Cipriano.

In order to contribute to the good quality of the industrial region, an operation works to clean the main access roads to the Pole and to companies, to avoid the dispersion of particulates (dust) accumulated on the roads, mainly due to the execution of vehicles, intensified by the climbing variable that happens in winter.

The opening, by video conference, was attended by representatives of industry and Cetesb

The phenomenon, known as thermal inversion, causes the particulates to concentrate on the surface and not disperse due to the colder temperature. In the summer, the earth’s surface remains warm, the hot air rises and the winds dispel dust. In the coldest season of the year in the city, there is usually little rain and wind, which favors concentration.

The preventive action, also known as Street Bath, will take place between the months of May and September, with the coordination of Cide and support from Ciesp Cubatão and other industries of Condomínio Industrial. Cleaning and wetting are carried out on the main roads and avenues located at the Pole, such as the Cônego Domênico Rangoni Highway, Eng. Plínio de Queiróz Avenue, Senhor Renê Fonseca Road and other accesses close to the industrial units and regulatory yards.

The cleaning is done by sweeping the roads and, then, it uses wetting water for reuse with a water truck, in operation for 12 hours daily, during the entire period of the campaign. In 2019, about 82 tons of waste were collected, such as mud, pet bottles, rubbers, tires and vehicle parts.

Since 1994, the city has had no critical episodes and outside the standards recommended by law. Air quality indexes are monitored by three Cetesb measuring stations, located in the Industrial Pole and in the urban area of ​​Cubatão, and are available for consultation on the agency’s website with updated data hourly, every day of the week.

For Marcos Cipriano, the support of the industries is fundamental for the success of the action. “Even with the reduction of industrial activities during the pandemic, the operation is still important. The intensification of movement on the roads is a concern in this period of the year and we count on the help of the Condominium to achieve yet another positive result, as in previous years”.

“We will work to make Operation Winter this year another milestone in our commitment to environmental management in the Pole and region. With the support of the industries and Cetesb, we will endeavor to conclude this period within the air quality standards”, says Cide’s executive director, Ricardo Salgado.
